Description
At this in-depth course, you’ll learn to recognize breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children and to perform CPR with supervised, hands-on practice. You’ll also receive training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. At the end of this class you will be able to: • Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies • Check and scene and call for help • Perform CPR on a person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest • Give rescue breathing • Minimize the effects of shock • Care for choking situations in victims of all ages • Learn the safe use of an AED • Gain the confidence to act quickly and competently during an emergency
